11/25/09:BLOG(the d.c)

the d.c which stands for dining commons is a place for us students to eat on campus, and the best part its free. somedays they have good food and others they dont but i know one thing that is always goods is the pizza and jamba juice man you cant go wrong with those two. sometimes the d.c gets old though because your eating the same food practically everyday and sometimes you want a change i know i do. but overall the d.c is pretty cool but i hate when upper classman try to take advantage of you and ask to continueously use your d.c card so they can eat for free. you decided to move off campus so find your own food lol

what kind of learner are you? are you more visual where if you see something one time you can understand it, are you an active learner where you must do examples of something to understan it, are you a learner where you can hear something one time and it register, its good to know what type of learner you are because it can help you become a better student in class and make note taking or studying habits much easier which will make you more successful in classes. personally i am a visual learner, i can mostly see what is being taught a couple times then will have hooked on to the concept which is best for me.but just make sure you know your learning style and then you can help others find theres.

never and let me make sure you know i am exxagerating the NEVER never have i been so cold in my entire life. we had a football game against utah state in utah and it was snowing and really wet. i am from souther cal so i barely get cold weather if any and man i will tell i hope i never have to experience that cold again, it was practically unbarable to play in, i couldnt feel my fingers or toes and it was just not a good game. i dont see how they can live there me and the cold dont get along.

tattoos are my thing, i dont know why i like them so much but i just do, i got my first tattoo when i was about 16 and now at the age of 18 i have over 20. to me tattoos are representation of who i am, all my tattoos are meaningful to me and i think a main reason i enjoy body ink is because i am an art freak. tattoos arent for everyone and some people even think they are stupid well i say they are what i like and i enjoy and i could careless what people think about me by what they see because there foolish to not to get to know me.my newest tattoo reads "against all odds" and what that means is against everyone who is against me meaning im not going to let anyone bring me down or take me from my goals and dreams and if your that person that is trying to do so get out of my way.

well when put in this situation most people would choose gatorade, even i would it taste better, there are different flavors, and some people just do not like water, and i know what your thinking all im going to say is water is healthier then gatorade, well actually i was going to say did you know that gatorade is the most cavity causing drink even besides soda. it has so much sugar in it its like drinking a human lollipop. just something to think about

whats up with all the new reality t.v shows and everyone wanting to make one now? when they first came out they were pretty cool and funny but now there becoming played out because everyone wants to have a reality t.v show now. maybe i should start a reality t.v show called sjsu college life with ronnie yell, how does that sound? pretty catchy lol well the way these shows today are i am not most certain i couldnt make one. whats your favorite show? is it because it has alot of drama,or funny, or sad, or is it because its what everyone else likes?

george st. pierre hands down is the coolest ufc fighter he is a canadian with no limitations he can make you tap out or knock you out. pesonally i couldnt do this sport or boxing because if i get hit in my face to many times or knocked i tend to become very upset and thats not a good look.

well i must say social networking is like the new fad in communication when it comes to young adults. its fast, easy, convenient and it brings more comfort in cetain situations. But and yes there is a but, social networking has many defects as well because of the wide social communication. social networking is also a way for your haters to gather information on you to bring you down. so my advice is to watch what you put on your facebook or myspace or anynetworking site you have because its a easy way for others get information on you. you must also watch what you put on your site because its accessable to everyone meaning job boses and coaches in which can backfire on you.

Blog 10/12 (Not the season, we have expected)

Ever since i was young i always dreamed of playing college football and now my chance has finally come. i always used to watch college football on t.v and knew it was what i wanted to do, i played highschool football and started on varsity since i was a freshman and i was fortunate to recieve a scholarship to play for san jose state university. when i first came in i was really excited and knew it was going to be a great experience, but i must say playing as a freshman isnt turning out all that i expected. Our record right now is 1-7 and ive never experienced a losing record in my life so this is something knew for me. i just wish the attitude in the locker room was a little more positive and i hope we can turn this season around or atleast go out with a bang. our head coach dick tomey is a great coach and is doing a great job, i feel as a player we should take more actions as team and get this thing on the right track.

"CHAIOS" 10/22/09

Man, i just realized how much work my "Muse" class involves this is ending up to be just like a full course, i thought it was supposed to be a fun, smooth, transitional college class for me, but man did i think wrong. From take home essay midterms to 1300 word scholarly papers. i have my hands full with this one but its nothing i cant handle.

10/12/09 "PARANORMAL ACTIVITY"

Ok now where do i start with this one, well yesterday me and a couple of guys from the team went and checked out the movie paranormal activity and i must say it is the scariest movie i have seen in along time if not the scariest i have ever seen ever. I was on the edge of my seat with my fitted hat all the way down just in case i had to cover my eyes the whole movie, thats how scary it was. This is a 5 star movie to me and is something everyone should see if you like scary movies. I will suggest though if you are going to check it out its not something you will want to go see by yourself so take someone with you because it will have jumping and grabbing after every scene. When people say that movie was so scary i couldnt sleep at night, well this is one of those movies it will have thinking about stuff and have you more cautious the night you see it then ever before. This movie will be the talk of all scary movies for along time so you got to see it!!!

10/12/09 BUDGET CUTS!!!!!!!

Man i hate budget cuts!!!not just because there budget cuts but because the effects that they are having on myself as a full time student and the effects i see they are having on some of my peers and parents that are close to me. Today someone close to me told there mom got layed off due to budget cuts and right when they told me this i felt sad for them, because the person who told me this is also a full time student like myself, and they were talking about dropping out of school because they now knew it would be basically impossible for their parent to pay for their education. Also today one of my favorite teachers told me his job was being affected by the budget cuts and we probably wouldnt be seeing him anymore after this year. This also made me sad because he is a very cool guy and for this to happen to someone like him who doesnt deserve it and loves his job dearly is wrong. To hear my friends voice and to see my teachers face when being told this by them made me think of how thankful i am but it also can happen to my family at anytime. It affects me with classes and the cost for school so to everyone out there being affecting by the budget cuts im praying for you and we will get through this. Help us Obama please!

"Movie Making" 9/30/09

Im pretty excited about the new assignment we have at hand or shall i say task. We have to make a 30 second movie in which we have to post it on youtube and whoever recieves the most hits by the end of the semester will recieve a prize, and i must say if the prize is left up to professor dan it will be something good so my group and i are going to try and do something very funny and interesting. I cant really say too much because i dont want to ruin the surprise, but we were discussing different things we could do around school, or using different people not even involved in our class to help us out, or even special effects which will make our movie more realistic. We want to jump into the same world that shila bluff is when he does he signature movies transformers so we going to use our imagination and give the world a good show!!!

Reflection:Class Discussion 9/28/09

In our class discussion we basically just went over our scholarly research papers, and how we can make this process as easy as possible. One thing i learned that i think will really help me is to do my paper on something that im actually interested in rather then just picking a topic to do, because i realized if i do a topic im interested in then it will make my research easier and my paper much easier to write. Another tip i got out of our discussion was to be organized and plan for success meaning no procrastination or waiting to the last minute to do the assignment especially if we have as much time as we do to get it done. I learned prewriting or conceptionalizing though are baby steps in a writing process can be very helpful because when it comes time to actually do the paper most of the work you will already have done.

"The Stylish Major"

I am considering studying kineseology, and first to give you a little insight on why i chose this is because i am a sports fanactic and if i dont make it big in sports i still would like to help others and keep them healthy so they can make it like i wanted to. now back to the journal the intelligences that i think best fit my major are bodily-kinesthetic and interpersonal because they involve working with other people and communication.Sensory preferences that might work well with this major visual because you can look and observe whats wrong as well as tactile such as hands on because you will know if something doest feel right or isnt in the right place.The learning process that best fits is all of them because theres alot of information to grasp this field of study in which you need to study, hands on learn, obeserve and etc...My personality definitely fits this major because im always willing to learn new things and i love learning about the body and how it works.

"Know Yourself"9/28/09

Today I just learned a little more about myself on how i like to learn things, what strategy interest me most when it comes to learning about certain subjects or how i bond with people i dont know or just met. Also the best strategy for me to remember information rather its visually or verbally, or when learning something other then in the classroon for ex: fixing something i like to see others do it first then i can easily follow. you learn something about yourself everyday and sometimes you surprise yourself with your ability to learn new things.

Have you ever wondered what your purpose is in life? What you will become?What you would like to do? Will you be successful? Well these are just some of the thoughts that go threw my mind every day, and when i think about why i am here or doing what i am doing and the outcome of what i am doing or what i would like to accomplish in life, it keeps me going to do better and become something better not only for myself but for my family and close peers who look up to me. Sometimes if you just sit down and appreciate everything you have, your days will be better, you will begin to feel better, and it will be hard to for people who doubt you to bring you down, try it!!!!

Dang its monday again, another day of 6:00 a.m morning practice then school after. Sometimes I wish I could just have one full day to sleep all day, man that would be great. But atleast I can say i am very fortunate to be here today and be in the position i am in recieveing a college education, so i cant complain. I wonder what shirt professor fortune will be wearing today, hmmm...guess i will jus have to wait to see. bye

Blog 9/23/09

Well today is a good day, because today is the day my weekend start. yesssss!!!!! but its also going to be a good weekend because we have a football game this saturday night at home against cal poly in which we should come out victorious. This should be our season turning game which just rises us to the top. Right now everything is going well, school, sports, friends everything. Oh yeah and of course family. so thats about it for today and I think im going to go to the volleyball game tonight. GO SPARTANS!!!!

MLK LIBRARY TOUR 9/14/09

The Library presentation was useful but very very long. I learned alot about how to research things and use the library on line to my advantages. Some things taught to me like the reference page and etc...i thought was cool because it will save me alot of time and work that i would have to do. But overall it was cool it was jus very very long that was the only negative about the presentation. And i almost forgot but we have a huge library and it is really useful and unique. One of my favorite things about it, even thought its a little thing are the marvel roll around study dest that turn into the 7 continents if you put them together. Those are very cool and i will put them to use one day...hopefully

MIME EXCERCISE

Vu communicated to me non-verbally that he was playing golf and he hit the ball really far and hard, so hard he hit someone in the head and knocked them out, and the ambulance had to come get him and take him to the hospitol and he had to get stitches. his movements were clear and it was easy to figure out his story. The excersise was cool and it was funny because making talking without actually talking can be challenging but fun.
